CITY OF PEORIA, ARIZONA HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 12, 2011 A Regular Meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Peoria, Arizona, was convened at 8401 W. Monroe Street in open session at 6:02 p.m. in the Peoria City Council Chambers. MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Steve Poe, Vice Chair Priscilla Cook, Commissioners Karen Garbe, Shelby Duplessis, Mike Fusco and Harold McKisson. MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioner Gary Nelson Others Present: Ellen Van Riper, Assistant City Attorney, Chris Jacques, Planning Manager, Melissa Sigmund, Planner and Cathy Griffin, Executive Assistant. Note: The order in which items appear in the minutes is not necessarily the order in which they were discussed in the meeting. *CONSENT AGENDA All items listed with a “C” are considered to be routine by the Historic Preservation Commission, and were enacted by one motion. 1C MINUTES: Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 17, 2010. Commissioner Cook moved to approve the Consent Agenda items. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Duplessis and upon vote, carried unanimously. ? REGULAR AGENDA 3R HISTORIC PRESERVATION ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT: Melissa Sigmund, Planner, presented a proposed amendment to the Historic Preservation section (Article 14-38) of the Zoning Ordinance. COMMISSION ACTION: No action necessary. 4R CENTENNIAL PLAZA DECADES WALK: Discuss and collect any final input on the proposed content for the “Decades Walk” feature within the planned Centennial Plaza on the Peoria Municipal Campus. COMMISSION ACTION: No action necessary. 5R ELECTION OF OFFICERS: Discussion and possible action to elect officers for 2011 including Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary.
