Retrofit Kit Program

Purpose:  The intent of the Retrofit program is to encourage a permanent reduction in the amount of water used inside the home. 

Contents: 

1- Instruction sheet
2- Shower heads with pause function, 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm)
2- Pressure compensating bath aerators, 1.0 gpm
2- Toilet bank displacement bags
2- Toilet fill cycle clamps
2- Leak detecting dye tablets
1- Kitchen swivel spray/stream aerator with pause function, 1.5 gpm
1- Teflon tape

Requirements:  An account holder will be eligible to receive a kit if he/she meets the following qualifications:

1) A City of Peoria water customer (not sewer or trash-only).
2) Home built prior to 1990 and the house must have plumbing fixtures that have not been updated to today's water efficiency standards.
3) Quantities are limited to one Retrofit kit per household and are only available to residential single-family homes with an individual billing account.

Procedure:  You may request an application online, through e-mail , or by calling (623) 773–7286. The Water Conservation staff will review your application and if approved, call you to schedule an appointment for you to pick up your kit. A City of Peoria employee may visit your property to view the installed water saving devices.

Please note:  Quantities are limited to one Retrofit kit per household and are only available to residential single-family homes with an individual billing account. Kits will be given on a first come, first served basis from the date and time the application is received. Applications received after kits have been expended will be sent a letter stating that the program has ended.
