Free, Half-Day Seminar Offers Teens Personal-Finance Tips

Rio Vista Recreation Center and Credit Union West are offering a free, half-day seminar on Tuesday, Dec. 29, to present 14- through 18-year-olds with valuable money-management skills. The seminar, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., will discuss financial responsibility and how to avoid predatory loans. Other topics include how to: spend and save responsibly; shop and compare financial products; and develop sound credit and budget-management skills. To register, call the center at 623-773-8600. It is located inside Rio Vista Community Park at 8866 W. Thunderbird Road.
