City of Peoria to Host 26th Annual All-American Festival
Fireworks Display at 9:15 p.m.
6/26/2009
PEORIA, Arizona – The City of Peoria invites the community out to enjoy the
26th Annual All-American Festival, Saturday, July 4th, 2009. “Recognizing that
many West Valley agencies are cancelling their July Fourth celebration due to
the tight economic times, we wanted to make sure the community had one event
where they can celebrate Independence Day,” said Community Services Director JP
de la Montaigne.
While celebrating America’s birthday you can enjoy listening to the country
tunes of Mary Hoffman and the Red Sky band at the KMLE Country Zone or the
Rock-N-Roll sounds of the Rebel Jack Band at the KDKB Rock Zone. If you need to
cool off, head to the Water Zone or keep the kids entertained at the Kids Zone;
both on the Practice Fields and in the stadium. Watch this year’s best high
school baseball players battle it out in the 2nd Annual Prep All-Star Showcase,
starting at 5:30 p.m. in the main stadium. To end the night our extravagant
fireworks show will start at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Gates open at 5 p.m. at Peoria Sports Complex Mariners Practice Fields and
stadium, located at 16101 N. 83rd Ave just south of Bell Rd. Admission is $5 for
13 years and older; 12 years and under are free. Non-alcoholic beverages and
food will be allowed into the event. No alcohol will be permitted into the park
this year but concessions and beer will be available for purchase. For more
information call 623-773-7198 or visit us on the web at www.peoriaaz.gov/sportscomplex.
