Free Easter Event Promises Loads of Fun for Kids
33rd Annual Dolly Sanchez Memorial Easter Egg Hunts

Peoria, Ariz. (March 31, 2009) The 33rd Annual DOLLY SANCHEZ MEMORIAL EASTER
EGG HUNTS will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at Peoria
Sports Complex, located on 83rd Ave. south of Bell Road. Parking and admission
are free with a donation of canned food to benefit the St. Mary’s Food Bank
Alliance.
What grew out of a simple gesture by one woman in fulfilling a need for the
children in this community has blossomed into one of Peoria’s points of pride.
In keeping Dolly Sanchez’s memory and her dream alive, a host of Dolly’s family
and friends return annually to participate in this wonderful event.
The Easter Bunny will be on-hand to start off the candy hunts. Children age one
begin hunting at 8:20 a.m.; age two at 8:45 a.m.; age three at 9:10 a.m.; age
four at 9:30 a.m.; age five at 9:50 a.m.; age six at 10:10 a.m.; ages seven and
eight 10:25 a.m.; and ages nine and ten at 10:40 a.m.
Cottontail Lane will be open for the kids to enjoy entertainment, visit the
PetMobile and make crafts. At Bunnyland, the kids can watch a puppet show, try
their skills at carnival games, create crafts and play with bubbles, visit the
animals at the petting zoo, saddle up and take a ride on the ponies. Hop around
on one of the egg-citing inflatable’s and enjoy a view from the outfield berms.
There will be a nominal cost on some activities.
