Council Approves Contracts for Municipal Court Expansion

The Peoria City Council voted Jan. 20 to approve contracts totaling almost $9.7 million related to expansion of the Municipal Court building on the Peoria Municipal Campus. The project will more than double the space available to the court and reorient the main entrance to the 83rd Avenue side of the building. Construction is scheduled to begin in March, with completion scheduled for February 2011. The court will remain open during the course of the expansion.
