HOA Academy Offers Knowledge, Skills for Community Leaders

Residents interested in the workings of homeowners’ associations (HOAs) are invited to attend the fall session of Peoria’s HOA Academy. Participants will learn about conducting open meetings, government statutes and effective communication, among other things. The group meets four consecutive Tuesday nights, beginning Oct. 7, at Peoria’s Development and Community Services Building on the northeast corner of 85th Avenue and Mountain View Road. There is a $20 fee, and applications are due by Tuesday, Sept. 30.
