ADOT Officials to Discuss Improvements to Grand

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will hold a public meeting Wednesday, June 25, at Peoria City Hall to discuss possible improvements to Grand Avenue. The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Pine Room. ADOT is evaluating several types of projects within Peoria: pedestrian lighting on the non-railroad side; landscaping in the medians; a screen wall or decorative fencing on the railroad side; moving overhead utilities underground; and new street lighting. A brief presentation on the project will be made at 6:30 p.m., followed by an open house featuring project maps and displays. Representatives from the ADOT design team will answer questions.
