Peoria Seeks Qualified Citizens for Boards and Commissions

PEORIA, Ariz. (Jan. 29, 2008) – The City of Peoria is seeking citizen volunteers to fill vacancies on the Historic Preservation Commission and Sister Cities Board. In addition to these vacancies, applications are being accepted for all future vacancies to any of Peoria’s 21 boards and commissions. Board and commission members review policies, plans and projects and make recommendations to the City Council.

Applicants must be valid registered voters and residents of Peoria. The City Council Subcommittee on Boards and Commissions Appointments reviews the applications and makes appointment recommendations as necessary. Due to the limited number of positions available, not all applicants will be appointed.
