City Employees Boost United Way Giving

City employees will donate more than $72,000 to the Valley of the Sun United Way in the coming year -- the highest total ever committed during the city's annual fundraising drive. The total represents a 20 percent increase from last year's commitment of just more than $60,000. About one-third of all city employees contributed; the average annual donation per participant is $164.
