City Buildings Continue to Win Design Awards
11/21/2007
The Peoria Center for
the Performing Arts recently received the Chairman’s Award from the American
Institute of Architects’ Cleveland chapter. That is the top honor in the
chapter’s annual design competition. “A building like this is only possible when
the architect has an extraordinary client, which Peoria certainly was,” said its
Cleveland-based architect, Ronald A. Reed. This is the fourth straight year that
projects in Peoria have been honored for architecture or design. Just last month,
the new fire station on Jomax Road won a National Top Merit Award from the Fire
Industry Equipment Research Organization.
