Project to Widen Road, Add Sewer, Water Lines
Begins March 13 on Lake Pleasant Parkway

A construction project scheduled to begin on Wednesday will widen Lake Pleasant Parkway – from Westwing Parkway to Loop 303 – to a four lane roadway plus bike lanes and a traffic signal. The city also will install new sewer and water mains to ensure the infrastructure is in place for future developments. During the first few months, contractors will blast north of the Westwing area to allow for a faster and easier installation of the sewer line. The blasting will not be noticed by residents however, vehicles traveling on Lake Pleasant Parkway will occasionally be stopped during the five- to 10-minute detonation period. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2014. For more information, call Karl Zook at 623-773-7260.
