Election Signs Must Be Removed
Recycle Material Thru Residential Pickups, Libraries

The city of Peoria wants to remind candidates and residents to recycle campaign signs after next week's election. The city's sign ordinance requires that political signs must be removed within 15 days after the General Election Day. Small signs can be placed in regular brown recycle bins; large signs can be dropped off at the city libraries: Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe Street; Sunrise Mountain Library, 21109 N. 98th Avenue. Metal stakes must be separated from signs; wooden stakes are not recyclable.
