Art Exhibit Held Over Through Aug. 9
Contrast in Prints

Due to its popularity, the Peoria City Hall Art
Gallery will continue to showcase the latest exhibit, Contrast in Prints,
through Aug. 9. Notable artists from the late 20th century such as Alexander
Calder, Andy Warhol, Fritz Scholder, Thomas Hart Benton and Peter Max are
featured as well as photographic prints of Morris Berman (1909-2002). Berman's
showcase is an array of famous familiar faces including John F. Kennedy, Charles
deGaulle, Mamie Eisenhower with Patricia Nixon, a young Mickey Rooney, and some
notable sports images. This exhibit features lithographs, serigraphs, intaglio,
mezzotints, other print mediums as well as photography from the West Valley Art
Museum’s permanent collection and special loans from a private collector. Peoria
City Hall Art Gallery, 8401 West Monroe Street, Peoria. Gallery hours are
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from noon to
