Volunteers Needed for River and Trail Clean Up
Event will Help Clean up City's Trails and Plant Trees

In recognition of Arbor Day and Earth Day, the City of Peoria is partnering
with Arizona Clean and Beautiful to clean up our City. Volunteers are needed to
pick up trash and debris and plant trees along the New River trail system
starting at Union Hills and 83rd Avenue. This event will be taking place
Saturday, April 21 beginning at 7 a.m. Volunteers will meet at the Uncle Sam's
parking lot at 19027 N. 83rd Avenue.
This is a free public event which will help clean up the New River basin and
trail from Union Hills to Beardsley Road. In addition, 20 desert friendly trees,
palo verdes and desert willows, will be planted as part of the Earth Day
celebration.
