Peoria Dial-A-Ride Not Affected by Metro Bus Strike
Strike only affects Route106 and Grand Ave. Limited in Peoria

The union that represents the workers for the company that operates City of Phoenix bus services has called a strike effective Friday, March 9, 2012. While this will affect service from Valley Metro, Peoria Dial-A Ride service will not be affected.

Only Route 106 (Peoria Avenue) and the Grand Avenue Limited may be affected in Peoria. Negotiations are continuing. City of Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton announced Wednesday, March 14 that a handshake agreement has been reached between Veolia Transportation Services and Amalgamated Transit Union 1433 amid the bus strike.
