The city has posted the just-released results of its citizen satisfaction survey, as well as details of its fiscal 2008 budget, on its Web site. Peoria residents rated the city well above the national average in just about every category: 83 percent were satisfied with their quality of life; 81 percent were satisfied with the quality of city services; and 73 percent were satisfied with the job that the mayor and City Council are doing. People also can examine the city’s recently adopted budget at www.peoriaaz.gov/budget/fy2008/default.htm. The budget totals $690 million; a 5.5 percent increase from the previous fiscal year. It adds 93 full-time positions, about half of which are in public safety.
