National Girls' Softball Championship Comes to Rio Vista

Rio Vista Community Park will host a national championship softball tournament July 23-28. The U.S. Specialty Sports Association will stage its Level “B” National Championships for girls’ fast-pitch softball at the recreational facility near Thunderbird Road and Loop 101. The event will comprise two divisions: 18 and under and 16 and under. Opening ceremonies will be July 23 at 6 p.m. Pool play will be July 24-26, with single-elimination play taking place July 27-28.
