Baseball Junior Olympics Championships at Sports Complex
Peoria Sports Complex Hosts 12th Annual USA Baseball Junior Olympics Championships

June 20, 2007 (PEORIA, Ariz) – Peoria Sports
Complex will host the 12th annual USA Baseball Junior Olympics Championships
(West), 16 years and under category, from June 22-30, 2007. The tournament
coincides with the Jr. Olympics Championships (East), held in Florida.
Approximately 18 players from the attending 72 teams will be chosen to tryout
for the national team, which will play in Venezuela for the International
Baseball Federation World Championships this August.
Opening ceremonies are June 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the main stadium. Admission is
free. Games are held on the Mariners and Padres practice fields starting June 23
at 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets are $6 daily with children 12 and
under free. Game time vary daily.
