City Stages Fitness Adventure Camp for Kids

Children ages 9 to 12 can attend Fitness Adventure Camp at Rio Vista Recreation Center twice a week in July. A physical-education teacher/certified personal trainer coordinates a fun-filled schedule of activities, including bike rides, sand volleyball, wallyball and Wii Fit competitions. There are six sessions: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, from July 12 through July 29. Registration is $45 for Peoria residents, $50 for non-residents; the deadline is Friday, July 8.
