Adaptive Recreation Class Prepares Kids for Playground

Peoria’s Adaptive Recreation Program is starting a new course: Playground Crashers. Designed for intellectually disabled kids ages 3 to 6, the program includes running, jumping and sliding. It is a great chance to practice social skills, taking turns and playing imaginatively. The six-week course will be held Mondays from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sunrise Family Center, 21321 N. 86th Drive, starting April 4. The registration fee is $30.
