Rescheduled Course Teaches Skills for Small Business

Peoria will host an
11-week entrepreneurship program called NxLeveL Start-Up on Wednesdays from 4
p.m. to 7 p.m., beginning April 13. Offered in partnership with the Maricopa
County Small Business Development Centers, the course is designed for people who
want to start a business and need the skills to test the feasibility of their
business concept. Participants develop a business plan that acts as the
blueprint for their start-up venture. Students will learn:

What it takes to be a
successful entrepreneur;

How to develop and
test their business concept;
-
How to select the
best business entry option;
-
How to organize and
manage their business;
-
How to research and
market their business;
-
How to understand and
get their financials in order;
-
How and where to get
funding for their business;
-
How to determine
feasibility of their business concept; and
-
How to develop a
network with other entrepreneurs.
Classes will be in
Peoria’s Development and Community Services Building, on the northeast corner of
85th Avenue and Mountain View Road. The fee for this course is $150, which
