City Needs Volunteers to Staff City Hall Art Gallery

Peoria seeks volunteers to assist with day-to-day operations of a new City Hall Art Gallery slated to open Jan. 22 with the Smithsonian exhibit “Lasting Light: 125 Years of Grand Canyon Photography.” Duties will include meeting and greeting visitors; providing information about the gallery and its exhibits; guiding tours for adults and children; providing security; maintaining registry and data collection; and participating in special events and programs. The city needs people to work Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m. Training and orientation will take place in early January.
