Alta Vista 'Dog-Friendly' Area Closed for Renovation

The "dog-friendly" area at Alta Vista Park is closed through mid-October for turf renovation. Dog owners are urged to consider Parkridge Park, 9734 W. Beardsley Road, as an alternative. Peoria’s first official dog park will be part of a new community park scheduled to open in the fall of 2012 at the northeast corner of 83rd Avenue and Butler Drive.
