City Workers Collect School Supplies for Peoria Students

Peoria employees donated approximately $1,000 worth of educational materials in a school-supply drive conducted this month by the city’s Finance Department. The items collected – which included 194 notebooks, 163 two-pocket folders, 118 glue sticks and 92 pencils – were delivered to Sun Valley Elementary School on Monday, Aug. 23. This is the second year the department has held a supply drive to benefit Peoria students.
