Peoria Builds Second Access Road for Liberty High School
New Street Connects Speckled Gecko Drive and Pinnacle Peak Road
8/3/2010
A second access road
for Liberty High School should ease congestion on Deer Valley Road for students
and their parents this academic year. City engineers timed the opening of 95th
Avenue between Speckled Gecko Drive and Pinnacle Peak Road to coincide with the
start of classes this month. The Peoria City Council voted in December to build
the $631,000 temporary roadway after many parents and residents voiced concern
about congestion along Deer Valley Road at 97th Avenue during the morning
drop-off and afternoon pick-up times.
