Foundation Honoring Fallen Cop Endows RVRC Youth Passes
3/23/2010
A $4,200 grant from the local Anthony Holly Foundation is enabling Peoria’s Rio Vista Recreation Center to offer free summer passes to 100 teenagers. Applicants must be ages 13 to 17 and have financial need. They don’t have to be Peoria residents. Applications will be accepted April 1 through June 30, or until 100 passes have been issued. The passes are good for three months from date of issue. Applications are available at the center and online at
www.peoriaaz.gov/riovista. For more information, call RVRC Manager Jackie Stanley at 623-773-8626. The foundation, named for a Peoria resident and Glendale police officer killed in the line of duty in 2007, raises money to support activities, organizations and facilities that encourage young people to live joyous and meaningful lives.
