Tuskegee Airmen to Speak in Peoria

The Peoria Diversity Committee presents a program featuring Tuskegee Airmen on Wednesday, March 31, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. The event will feature three men who served with this historic unit comprising the first African-American pilots in the U.S. armed forces. The Tuskegee Airmen earned distinction as bomber escorts over Europe during World War II. The event will be broadcast live on Peoria Channel 11 and on the Web at www.peoriaaz.gov/channel11.
