Community Recycling Event
Saturday, February 23, 2013 8am - 2pm
Celebration Lutheran Church, 87th Avenue and Olive Avenue (NW Corner)

Celebration Lutheran Church will be hosting a FREE community recycling event this Saturday from 8am to 2pm.

Recycled items include:
Computers (hard drives destroyed on site), monitors, printers, TV's, paper to be shredded (shred on site, up to 3 boxes per car, space is limited), items for Treasures for Teachers (assists teachers in teaching and making crafts), rechargeable batteries, cell phones (memory scrubbed during recycling), adaptors and chargers, clothing and reusable household items for the West Valley Lutheran Thrift Store.

P83 PARTY

83rd Avenue at Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 North 83rd Avenue


The P83 Street Party is a concert to highlight the entertainment district surrounding the Peoria Sports Complex near 83rd Avenue and Bell Road in Peoria. The stage and event activities occur on 83rd Avenue, closing the street between Mariners Way and Paradise Lane. Street closures will begin at 4:00 a.m. on February 23, and reopen February 24 at 1:00 a.m. 

Besides the concert, there is a beer, wine and spirits garden, and an interactive zone for adults and children including a zip line, a large "roller" ball and local vendors, including Flavors of Peoria featuring area restaurants and caterers. The Arizona SCITECH Festival will also be onsite to demonstrate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) efforts taking place in the City of Peoria. Participants will learn about the science behind making beer, music, baseball and biomedical devices. 

General admission tickets cost $10. VIP tickets cost $25.  Children under 12, when accompanied by an adult, are free for general admission only.
