Mesquite District Update for February 20, 2013
|
The City of Peoria's Sustainable University is a gateway to help residents proactively live in harmony with their natural surroundings. All of the courses at PSU have one thing in common – to empower residents to make small changes for big impacts to make Peoria a better place to live.
Many of these courses focus on water conservation and landscape design, which is mindful of the Sonoran Desert’s unique environment and precious resource – water.
Sustainable University Series - The Life Cycle of Urban Water:
Peoria's latest class – in a new series focused on sustainable efforts – teaches residents where the city gets its water supply; how raw water is treated; what happens once waste water goes down the drain; how water is reused, and more.
