Watch for the Sustainable University courses and workshops in the current edition of Peoria's Get Active brochure. Get Active is distributed quarterly by the City's Recreation Division and contains a wide variety of Special Interest Classes. We'll be offering Sustainable University courses beginning September 16th, 2015.

Meet Erik the Garden Guru!
As the City’s Certified Municipal Arborist and Master Gardener, Erik has been our go-to guy for ensuring that our City parks and citywide landscape are beautifully designed, watered efficiently and functional.
Erik’s has spent the last 20 years perfecting his skill in landscape design and maintenance from mowing all the way to private consulting. And when he’s not hard at work for the City, Erik volunteers with the Valley Permaculture Alliance with their Shade Tree Program and works with the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation as a Program Arborist.
