Lista de Votantes de Antes de la Elección Permanente 

Arizona tiene una ley que les permite a los votantes añadir sus nombres en una Lista de Votación Antes de la Elección Permanente. Los votantes que aparecen en esta lista recibirán una boleta de antes de la elección enviada por correo automáticamente, aproximadamente 26 días antes de la elección en la cual un votante este capacitado para participar.

Lista de Votantes de Antes de la Elección Permanente - Se Requiere una Designación de Boleta para la Elección Primaria 

La elección primaria es una elección partidaria abierta. Esto indica que si un votante inscrito para votar se encuentra en la Lista de Votantes de Antes de la Elección Permanente (PEVL) esta afiliado con un partido político reconocido, el votante recibirá una boleta de antes de la elección de esa elección primaria automáticamente. Los partidos políticos reconocidos celebrando una elección primaria abierta para las elecciones son el partido Demócrata, Republicano, Libertario y Americanos Eligen.

Si un votante inscrito de la (PEVL) esa afiliado con un partido político no reconocido (No Partidario, Independiente, Otro o no preferencia), el votante no recibirá una boleta de antes de la elección automáticamente, y, por consiguiente, tiene que designar cual boleta prefiere (Republicana, Demócrata, Libertario o Americanos Eligen). El votante también puede elegir recibir una boleta solamente de la ciudad que no va a incluir candidatos afiliados con partidos políticos.

Para poder designar una boleta de preferencia, el votante puede regresar la tarjeta de “Aviso de 90 Días” que se envió por correo  al Departamento de Elecciones del Condado Maricopa. Si el votante ya no tiene la tarjeta de “Aviso de 90 Días”, el/ella puede comunicarse con el Departamento de Elecciones del Condado Maricopa (602-506-1511) para designar cual boleta de partido político el/ella desea recibir para la votación de antes de la elección de la Elección Primaria.

Este proceso no se le aplica a la Elección General.
