American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 

Background:

In these difficult economic times, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is providing funding for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act or ARRA).  The Recovery Act appropriated $1 billion in CDBG funds to states and local governments to carry out, on an expedited basis, eligible activities under the CDBG program.  The City of Peoria is expected to receive $1.2M in Recover Act funds for the NSP3 program.
