The City of Peoria invites the community out to enjoy the 28th annual Oldtown Holiday Festival. Take a stroll through Old Town Peoria and enjoy all the holiday activities. Presented by Sears Vacations, the event will feature live entertainment, a visit from Santa, 20 tons of snow!, crafters market, kid zone, a choral contest and live Nativity. The festival will take place south of Peoria and Grand avenues. Parking and admission are free. Some activities have a nominal fee. Food and beverage concessions will be available for purchase. For more information regarding entertainment and activities please click on the event program below.

Gingerbread architects need to enter either a mini house or large house by Dec. 1 and 2 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the Peoria Community Center, located at 8335 W. Jefferson Street.

Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria: complied with rules, imagination, creativity, degree of difficulty and overall appearance. Prizes will be warded to first through third places in each category for each division. There will be a $100 grand prize awarded for the Best Overall Large House and $50 for Best Overall Mini House. Groups and individuals of all ages are welcome to participate. The Gingerbread Houses will be on display at the Peoria City Hall through the month of December. Download the entry form at the link below.
