Peoria’s Before and After School Programs Needs Recreation Leaders
We are looking for individuals who are good with children, enjoy helping children participate in a variety of programs and activities and are looking for a great work environment. The AM/PM program provides elementary school-aged children with a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, games, events, field trips during school breaks, outdoor activities and more at 22 Peoria Unified School District elementary schools before and after school. Employment opportunities are available for the position of Recreation Leaders I to support the program and assist the Recreation Leader III responsible for an AM/PM site

Recreation is a division of the Peoria Community Services Department.
The additional Community Services divisions are below.
This division plans and conducts the maintenance of city parks, most right of way, trails, open space and most retention basins.
The Main Library and Sunrise Mountain Library offer adult, teen and youth programs and services, free Wi-Fi, free public computers, access to databases and free e-books and an interlibrary loan services.
City of Peoria has established itself as an arts leader in the region. This division includes the City’s public art program, the Peoria Arts Commission (PAC), the Percent for the Arts Program and an arts grant program.
The City of Peoria hosts many exciting special events throughout the year for our community including the annual 4th of July All American Festival and the Halloween Monster Bash.
Peoria Sports Complex, contains 13 full sized baseball fields and is home to the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres for Spring Training and year round player development.
It is the mission of the Community Services Department to meet the needs of the citizens of Peoria by developing, implementing and maintaining quality programs, services, events and facilities which are cost effective, creative and responsive to citizen input.
