Ben is a committed family man and small business owner. His priorities for Peoria are smart economic growth, improvements in public safety, enhanced education opportunities for all, and establishing a child friendly city.
Ben comes to Peoria with a strong background in business, including thirteen years at American Express where he was responsible for strategic analysis and budget reports totaling over $40 billion. His work helped American Express grow, operate efficiently, and improve their overall corporate performance.
Despite the challenging economic environment in 2008, Ben became an entrepreneur. Along with his brother, he launched Toma Partners, a family real estate company, where he continues to serve as founding partner and Designated Real Estate Broker. Ben led his company to significant growth, making it one of the fastest growing real estate companies in Arizona. This experience provided Ben with extensive knowledge of the commercial and residential real estate markets, a key ingredient to the future success of Peoria.
Ben has been married to Ana for over 15 years and they have five beautiful daughters. Ben and Ana are also involved in their community through Encounter Church of Peoria. They also support the Benita Foundation, an orphanage named after Ben’s sister, who tragically died when she was very young. Ben is committed to public service and building a strong community where families, businesses and individuals can flourish.
