Residential Special Hauls
The City offers a special haul service for large, bulky items that do not fit into a residential trash container. Items should be placed curbside, or at the end of driveway 5 ft. away from parked cars. Do not place items near utility boxes, water meters, ornamental borders or landscaping. It is the responsibility of the resident to maintain landscaping if disturbed by equipment. Service will not be provided if items are improperly placed, deemed unsafe to collect or contain unacceptable items.
- A fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes of loading time will be charged for the following items; furniture, old appliances, washers, dryers, water heaters, wood boards, large cardboard moving boxes, tree limbs, branches, trunks,stumps and un-contained branches (no longer than 3 feet in length), palm fronds, bagged grass and yard trimmings, and boxed cacti.
- Unacceptable items are asphalt, bricks, dirt, broken concrete, concrete block, rocks, tires, glass such as windows, patio doors, mirrors, shower doors, automobile parts, household hazardous waste such as pool chemicals, oil based paint, oil, antifreeze and pesticides/herbicides.
- There will be an additional $50.00 fee for large pickups that require the use of a roll-off bin and/or tractor. Please call the Customer Service Center at 623-773-7160 for a free quotation.
The total fee will be added to your monthly utility billing. Please be prepared to provide the Customer Service Representative your account number when scheduling a Special Haul. Special Haul services are performed on Tuesdays if you are located North of Bell Road and on Fridays if you are located South of Bell Road.
