Wastewater Rate Information

The City of Peoria has two charges for wastewater: a base charge and a volume charge.  

Base Charge:
A fixed monthly charge based on the size of the water meter on the account; regardless of the amount of water usage. 

Volume Charge:
A monthly charge that depends on the customer type.  For more information on customer type, please see below.


Wastewater Rate Consumption Categories: 

The City of Peoria has two customer types for wastewater rate calculations: Residential and Commercial/Industrial.  For an expanded definition of the category, and the wastewater base and volume charges, please click on the link below.

Residential: The Residential wastewater category includes Residential, Multi-Residential, and Residential Care water customers.  Wastewater charges are based on a winter average of water consumption.

Commercial/Industrial: The Commercial/Industrial category contains Commercial/Industrial water customers.  Wastewater charges are based on the number of gallons of water used in the month.
