2012 X Battalion Chief Academy

The Peoria Fire Department & Daisy Mountain Fire Department invites you to participate in the Peoria Regional Battalion Chief Academy X.  The Academy provides a training opportunity for those who are seeking advancement within their Departments, with sessions which are designed to provide instruction on Tactics, Leadership and Personnel matters.  The ten sessions scheduled for this year's Academy are on the following dates:

Thursday, May 3rd and Friday, May 4th

Wednesday, May 9th, Thursday, May 10th and Friday, May 11th

Wednesday, May 16th, Thursday, May 17th and Friday, May 18th

Thursday, May 24th and Friday, May 25th

 

All sessions will be held at the Public Safety Administration Building, 8351 W. Cinnabar, on the Peoria City Campus.

We are very excited about the caliber of instructors for this year's Academy and look forward to their presentations and training.  In addition to some very knowledgeable and talented local trainers, we feel fortunate to have Chief Scott Ferguson (Santa Monica FD), Christine Muldoon (ASU), Gary Ells (Tempe FD), John Mittendorf (LAFD, retired), Dennis Compton (Mesa FD, retired), Councilman Bill Stipp (Goodyear), Ron Deadman (Avondale FD), and Mark Gailard (Goodyear FD) as featured speakers.

The tuition fee for the Academy is $475 per attendee.  Personnel who attend all sessions will recieve three A.A.S. Credit Hours through Glendale Community College.  If you wish to attend, please complete the attached Registration Form and return with your check (payable to: City of Peoria) to Chris Chrzan, Fire Adminstration, City of Peoria, 8401 W.
