Ride Along Program

In an effort to provide the public an opportunity to accompany and observe fire department operations in action, the City of Peoria Fire Department has developed a Citizen Ride-Along Program.

The following guidelines have been established for this program:

  • Observers must be at least 18 years of age and have no physical limitations   of a nature that would jeopardize the safety of the individual or others.
  • Observers shall provide a copy of their valid driver license for proof of age.
  • Observers must complete and sign a waiver of liability form.
  • Observation hours are limited to between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

If you are interested in riding along with a City of Peoria fire company, you may make arrangements through our Fire and Life Safety Specialist. Requests are taken, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.  For additional information or questions, please call 623-773-7279.
