Ards Peoria Art Partnership

Meet Your Artistic Match

You could be part of the artistic exchange between the City of Peoria and its "sister city", The Borough of Ards, Northern Ireland. We are looking to match artists in the Performing and Visual Arts. You can click on the links below to learn more about the artistic endeavors of the Ards Arts Council, the Creative Peninsula artists and the activities taking place in the Borough of Ards.

Ards Peoria Art Partnership

The City of Peoria through an ongoing exchange of artists and arts educators in both the performing and visual arts will foster and promote the continuance of the "sister city" partnership with the Borough of Ards in Northern Ireland.

The City of Peoria will identify artists and arts educators in both the performing and visual arts to partner with complimentary artists in Ards Borough. Our expectation is that these will be artists of the highest artist standards as well as those who are committed to the promotion and continuance of the partnership. We plan to identify artists from a professional environment and/or the arts education community. It is our expectation that these artists/educators reside and/or work in the community they represent.

The exchange will involve but not be limited to the following:

  • Artists/educators host a visiting partner
  • Participate in all activities during visit/exchanges
  • Go on a residency in the partners location
  • Exhibit/Perform/Teach based on the exchange experience
  • Participate, promote and enhance the Sister City partnership

The City of Peoria will support this partnership through financial consideration and exhibit/performance calendars.
