Fire Department Community Relations Menu
The Community
Relations section is part of the Fire Prevention
Division, led by the Fire Marshal. Community
Relations provides presentations to the community on
numerous topics from water and summer safety for kids to
fall safety for seniors. We participate in all the major
city events with displays and information, work with
organizations in the area to host safety fairs and
participate in neighborhood activities. We also provide
child safety seat inspections, host child safety seat
check-up events and co-host the annual G.A.I.N. Public
Safety Night with the Peoria Police Department. The
Community Relations Section is also responsible for the Fire
Department’s media relations programs.
